RESPECT IN THE WORKPLACE WILL BE GREATER POSITIVE CHANGE THAN TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS
So many people are talking about the importance of happiness at work, company culture, company values, and brand marketing but a lot of business thriving consultants is not getting to the roots of key factors influencing the productivity, mattering and quality of our working lives: Respect at work.
That’s one of my impulses, why I have founded a brand new OrgVia movement to focus on flourishing organisations adopting a respectful approach at the workplace and Fing new ways how to proceed. After successful entrepreneurship and studying tenths of different companies and models of business operation from the inside. I found that misunderstanding and lack of respect between teammates, colleagues, subordinates and their bosses are damaging a company’s potential a lot. So let’s focus on our roots and what is functioning well and what does not.
In my broader family, we are living with respect for many years now at I have to admit, that it was a game changer for all of us: children, parents and the whole family too. Withing schools of our children and how we raise the children the change is getting its fruits and helping to flourish happiness of our loved ones at school and all of us at home.
In many companies, there are prevailing mediaeval practices of management based on master/$lave models. We found this concept as obsolete and non-effective with hard drives, but at work, many companies are following this medieval paradigm up to now. This is all about innovuting whole companies and rotting concepts on how we manage organisations. If we stop enslaving and juicing humans we can open up the potential for collective intelligence and innovations of full.
Old slavery concepts of management and lack of respect is blocking the flourishing of our businesses. Non-effective in taking care of competitiveness of our businesses. Respect is of course not self-defeating, but is an important rooting factor for all future successful companies. In today’s highly competitive, globally dissolved business world and pressure on mattering innovations which are sustainable ecologically, economically and socially it will be more and more important to cultivate respect at work. Respect is a key success factor how to solve ever rising detachment of people. We need more respect at work at schools and towards nature to join humans’ power and move only survive and flourish too.
As Mr Frederic Laloux in his book Reinventing organizations is stating, we have five major consciousness levels/models for how we organize work at organisations:
- magenta based on power and obedience
- amber focusing on positions ladder and order and title honour
- orange basing success on meritocracy concepts and financial drivers
- green appraising consensus
- teal based on wholeness, self-management and evolutionary purpose
Not everybody is capable of teal thinking, but we can adopt respectful principles for all amber/orange/green and teal orgs. Respect at work prevents:
- Burnout
- Intrigues
- Misunderstanding
- Abuse at workplace
- Lose of engagement of the workforce
- Great resignation
- Loss of trust between colleagues at work, it empowers trust
…and helping to grow effectivity and better cooperation cross-over company teams and between companies too. Respect and trust are the main drivers of how to empower innovations, not being afraid of mistakes and learn, mitigate risks and move on to better solutions of problems. Respect is the key lubricant for the internal motivation motor of all of us. So let’s keep it heated at the optimal level.

DAY BREAK THE CURSE OF PAST COLONIAL MANAGEMENT MODELS AND MOVE ON TOWARDS MODERN KNOWLEDGE SOCIETY
It’s the best time to get up, dissolve the fogs of organisation paper cultures and innovute how we cooperate and run businesses on Earth. Businesses which are respectful towards not only employees, respect nature and their laws, are not harmful to local communities and keep an eye on operational sustainability, both economical and ecological too.
Respect is a key driver of how to start innovution (innovation plus revolution) at the workplace and change our life’s a lot. Respect is the way how to attract the best talent, empower one team, grow competitiveness and mitigate the risks of losing best humans out of the team.
Without love, there is no true respect.
Without respect there is no real trust.
Without trust there is no healthy self-esteem.
Without self there is no reason.
Without reason there is no love.
We are educating for competition, but not for cooperation. That’s the reason why so many companies are struggling with office politiques, employee clashes, intrigues, loss of trust and fall down of engagement of employees. Disrespect and humiliation at work are the key why points to leave jobs and quit. As it is true people join by the good vision and leave due bad management.
In the highly competitive push on competencies globally, to stay productive and competitive for many companies it will be crucial how we will innovute how we run firms. Cultivating respect in the workplace will be key.
So respect and be Respected and change not only company culture, but relationships approach at work and adopt respectful concepts in everyday operations.
Adopting respect goes hand in hand with adopting cooperative company culture, living company values not only on paper and respecting diversity in practice, not only in pieces of training, written manuals and CSR programmes.
If will cultivate actively respect at work we can change not only businesses for the better but also influence enterprises’ cooperation and prevent all violent crimes in the world. Respect concept is not compatible with abusing of people, juicing of minds and dehumanizing medieval concepts enslaving people by invocation of human resource digging.
You cannot lie about respect at work such as about company culture and fake values, because everybody of us knows how important are relationships at work. Respect is not obedience to authority, respect is about trust, goodness and reasonable love how we behave and grow personally and flourishing sustainable organizations.
From a broader perspective, if we will adopt respect and live it on full there will not be any abuse, hatred and violent fights at work. So let’s start treating others with respect and then we can gain & earn respect from them and build up a new generation of respectful organizations.
Respect makes sense and is the healer of many conflicts and blockers at work.
